10 Wordpress plugins you just might like

I have compiled a list of my favorite WP plugins. All these plugins can be found at WordPress.org unless linked elswhere.

  1. Askimet Anti Spam System

    Askimet is an anti spam plugin pre-installed into WordPress. It was developed by Automattic (the same guys from WordPress), so you should be as satisfied with this as you are with WordPress. Just check Askimet’s stats. Download Askimet.

  3. All in One SEO Pack
  4. This is the best SEO mod for WordPress, no questions asked. The options are simple to use, upgrading is literally one click, and it is updated almost every week. This plugin has helped my blog, and countless others reach high rankings in search engines and I’m sure it will work wonders for yours too. Download All in One Seo Pack.

  5. Category Base Removal Plugin
  6. This plugin is simple, but has a massive effect on your categories. What it does it when you activate this plugin, it removes the /category/ directory from your links. It can solve a few URL problems you may be having as your pages have the same link structure. Download Category Base Removal Plugin.

  7. Google XML Sitemaps
  8. This plugin automatically generates an XML sitemap for your blog. It supports every single page from Wordpress, including custom ones made by you. Whenever you make the littlest edit to a post or page, or even create a new post this plugin will automatically update all of the major search engines.   9. Maintenance Mode
  10. Is your blog going over a major makeover, or just in need of maintenance? This plugin will show an offline message to all the visitors to your blog. You can edit what you want your message to say, as well as more. Just don’t forget to deactivate it when you’re done updating! Download Maintenance Mode.

  11. WordPress Tiger Administration
  12. WordPress Tiger Administration is a total revamp of the Wordpress Admin Panel. With a very professional feel to it, Tiger Administration makes navigating your admin panel much easier.   13. Target Blank in Posts And Comments
  14. Don’t you just hate when a reader clicks a link in your post that opens in the same window? Often your reader would forget about your site and move on. That bothered me, so I did some research and found this cool mod. Download Target Blank in Posts And Comments.

    Gonna have to check out “Target Blank in Posts And Comments”. I’ve recently started adding the target=”_blank” to my links manually — this should help out immensely.
